more of the same.

an effort to take nicer photos - as a precursor to putting some stuff on etsy...  though these photos still need some work i think... *sigh*  (soon there will be finished printed works!  hurrah!)

did you see the crowns made by kh.j?

Yes dearies... those fabulous crowns will be enclosed in our personally crafted Christmas Crackers, along with a little surprise.

testing, 1. 2.

Printing began today. The preliminary prints are in the dryer after testing the staying power of my heat setting of the ink. I didn't loose any ink. Phew!

More designs have emerged... you will be able to find (and buy!) those at the Pacific Arts Holiday Market which starts.... next Friday. Yes... next Friday. Come by and see us from 10 am until 9 pm during December Artwalk. 119 W. Chestnut Street.

day with cold...

i have hit a wall.  a cough/cold induced wall.  hopefully will be back on top of things tomorrow.  but yesterday was fruitful:

placemats

tote

christmas crowns

weird how the colour in this is so off

more crowns

and kh.s has started the printing process!  surely that means there are photos coming...

too.. many... ideas..

there is so little time and here we are about to leap into printing.  trying to organize all our goods and figure out what to print on what items..  and what to make screens of!  so many things to do and try, and not NEARLY enough time...

computers

it isn't as satisfying at the end of the day to have been working on the computer..  granted i am working on a design that will (hopefully) end up being one of our prints, but it is nice to have fabrics and threads going through your fingers and a pile of products after a few hours of work, rather than a file...

anyway here is an image of the work in progress...  not feeling too sure about it tonight, but maybe putting the head on the pillow for a few hours (if the baby lets me) will help.

ps - this is a map of bellingham, in case it isn't immediately obvious..  :)

is it wednesday already?

drawing drawing drawing all day working on a map.  can't believe how long it is taking.  thank goodness for my child minder!  but sad she is busy the next few days as i won't be able to get back to it for a bit and i felt like i was on a roll..  ahhh well...

and more.

i have set a task for myself - to sew 1 set of 4 napkins every day.  so far so good (2 days in a row).

plus today i made another tote and some snack bags.

i think that perhaps i like making the totes and snack bags more right now because i end up with a finished product, whereas the napkins et al still need another step (printing) before they can be done..

alas.. alack..

more bags today..

.. and some napkins sewn.  but not printed yet, so no images.  napkins are a pain, too much ironing!  though they will look good when they are done (i hope).

here are the sandwich bags and a tote i squeezed in.

bags du jour

managed to squeeze a few hours for working this afternoon (despite the sitter i hired not showing up.  or calling.  or anything.  argh.)

made some bags out of new material and did inventory of what we have ready to print.

feeling excited today.  just need more time!
